Collins ARC D-Star Repeaters

The Collins ARC operates Dstar repeaters from the Rockwell Collins
campus on Collins Rd in Cedar Rapids.  These systems are intended for
the use of the general ham community.

As of this writing (April 2015), there are two independent digital
voice repeaters, one on the 2 meter band, and one on the 70 cm band.
Both repeaters are able to gateway via the internet to other systems.

System Registrations

First, note that basic repeater operation requires NO registration.
Its possible to configure your radio for either repeater and
successfully communicate locally without ever registering.  This is a
good interim step to verify that your radio is configured, and allows
you to communicate with local stations.

Registration is a function of the internet gateway, and allows your
signals to be relayed to other dstar systems over the internet.

In summary go to

   -  https://n0cxx.dstargateway.org/Dstar.do and register

   -  wait for an admin to discover your have registered, or email

       n0cxx-dstar-adm@rf.org

to let them know that you have submitted a registration.

Check the above site to see if you've been approved.

   - Once you are approved GO BACK to the registration site, login,

NØCXX Gateway features:
   - Supports Icom-standard callsign-routing
Allows users to specify the callsign of the party
to be called, and the gateway system routes the
digital voice data stream to the repeater where that
          party was last heard.

   - Supports DPLUS repeater linking
Allows repeaters to be linked over the internet.  All
registered users will be heard on both repeaters.

This feature also allows the repeater to be linked to
      conference servers.

   - Supports DStarMonitor
Captures and reports status and statistics of repeater
usage.  This supports last heard features and position
report relaying over the net.  This allows Dstar user's
position to be observed on the web and from APRS I-gate
          users.

   - Supports ircddb
This system allows more rapid propagation of a station's
repeater association.  Is also allows NØCXX repeaters to
communicate with non-Icom repeaters and gateways.

   - Supports dextra
This system supports additional conference bridge types
          among other things.
